Lane Splitting Buick Enclave

Dear madame driving the golden-shit-stained-brown with the numerous bumper holes and broken mirror,

So while I approach a red light I park on the left hand side of the lane because there was some fluid spillage in the middle. Just because I'm on the left side of the lane and there is room between me and the car on the right does not mean that you should fly by between us nearly hitting my mirror not to mention me as the light turns green.

Lane splitting with bikes is dangerous and illegal as is. Lane splitting with cars its just insane! Plate ended in 571 or 517.

Update on Matt - he's headed home!

Alright :) looks like Matt may be headed home soon....

To show support, ChicagoRiders.com made a video of their cruise by the hospital. It's been reported that Matt heard us rolling by and knew it was for him!

One of our friends seriously injured by dumb@ss turning into KFC in Elmhurst, IL

The collision occured at: 609 W Saint Charles Rd, Elmhurst, IL

As posted by T-pole on ChicagoRiders.com
Matt got into a pretty bad accident tonight. He just made a turn, so he didn't have much speed. A car turned into a KFC right in front of him.

Aimee said that he had a fractured arm, and fluid (blood?) on the brain.

Everyone, keep him in your thoughts, he's in the hospital right now, not sure how long he'll be there for.

2 pics I got with my phone.

They completely shut down St. Charles West bound, and the cops were laying into the driver of the SUV pretty good. Actually sounded like they were on our side for once.

Additional pictures from an on-site photographer (probably Police photog or local press):

Update

Matt has been moved from one hospital to another, and the bleeding in his brain has slowed. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers folks!

Update 8/6 @1:04PM

From NikkiRR:
[He is breathing on his own now!] He is off his sedation medication now as well. He is still sleeping, but can talk a little bit. Knows where he is but doesnt really remember what happened. Keep those thoughts and prayers coming!
